The jewellery that you wear makes a statement about who you are and what you value. It gives a glimpse into your personality without saying a word. The focus of my jewellery making over the past 14 years has been to express my style through my creations. My medium of choice is recycled sterling silver. I combine cold join techniques with molten forms by melting and manipulating silver; incorporating geometric and free form shapes for contrast. Other elements include 14 kt gold-fill, rough diamond, 18 kt gold, freshwater pearls and cubic zirconias. I use patina to give depth to the pieces. The crevices are blackened while the smooth surfaces are polished to a high shine.

Like all creative work, mine is bound by my own visual experiences. I feel this style of mine originates from growing up on a farm in southwestern Ontario. I have a natural affinity for time-worn textures. Rusty fences, cracked and crumbling concrete, the posts and beams of an antiquated barn, these are some of my inspirations.

I’m always striving to make my collections timeless. I find the process of designing and fabricating to be immensely fulfilling. My goal is to create jewellery that is well made, comfortable, but most of all will have a personal connection for its wearer.
